There are numerous individuals that are suffering from pain in their stomach, cramps in the joints, or even develop many rashes. These people may be unaware that they have a gluten related problem. If they are able to detect the issue early on and eliminate gluten from the diet, then they will be able to lead a healthy lifestyle without facing any problems.

Treating gluten related problem:

Gluten is an antigen that can be checked by skin testing. If you go to the doctor then they will perform a variety of tests that may be a bit time consuming and quite expensive. If you want to go for a better alternative then you should try to diagnose the disease by trying out an elimination diet. Most individuals that are gluten intolerant are also intolerant to milk and so when a test is conducted it is important to eliminate dairy and gluten products for a certain period of time. If you notice that the gluten related problem (symptoms) are going away then you should try to put in a little bit of gluten in the diet and see the results. If the symptoms show up again then you should stop taking gluten and eliminate dairy products from the diet. This way you will be able to detect the problem yourself.

Gluten is found in products that contain wheat, rye, barley, oats etc. Some people think that if they avoid things such as breads, cookies, pasta, and pastries they will be ok, but this is wrong because there are many foods besides those that contain gluten and you should read the labels carefully before eating them. There are times when you may come across a product and think that it does not contain any gluten, but it actually does. This is why you should first investigate before you consume a food that you are not so sure about.

These days there are numerous foods that are gluten free and are available on the markets and shelves. These foods may be a bit more expensive than the regular brands, but they are totally worth it when you are trying to live a gluten free diet. Also there are many recipes that you can try that will teach you how to prepare food. Living gluten free does not necessarily mean that you have to starve yourself; you can still eat your favorite food but should make sure that they are gluten free. If you feel that you may have gluten related problem then you should look out for the following problems:

  • Pain in the joints and bones.
  • Abdominal pain.
  • Diarrhea.
  • Nausea and Sick feeling.
  • Cramps in the muscles.
  • Constipation.
  • Weight loss.

If you leave the problem untreated for a long period of time then it can potentially worsen and even lead to intestinal cancer. This is why you should get it checked out so that you can treat it as soon as possible.
